After weeks of uncertainty, we have made a decision on how to hold our 2020 graduation ceremony. It will be on Friday, May 22 at 1:00 p.m. We will hold the ceremony in the school parking lot. Spaces for the graduates will be marked with their names along with two other spots for family. Additional family are welcome to come, but they can just park in one of the unmarked spots. The graduates will be announced, they will come up on the stage to receive their diploma, each graduate has identified one or two people who will accompany them on stage - they will be announced as well, and they will present them with their gift - quilt or what the family chooses, they will turn the tassel, and the graduate will present them with a flower. Then the next graduate will be announced. People are encouraged to honk their horn in celebration of the graduate. The ceremony will be broadcast on an FM frequency which will be announced on our school Facebook page the day of the ceremony.
Rules - Everyone except the graduate and their identified family member(s) MUST remain in the vehicle. Due to the Covid19 health concerns, we must protect all who are attending the graduation. If people start to get out of their vehicles, the ceremony will be ended and diplomas simply handed out. There will be a photographer who will take pictures of each graduate, then these pictures will be emailed out to each of the graduate.
The school building will be locked so there will be no bathroom facilities.
